Overview

Throughout recent history, nursing homes have been an important part of human life and aging. However, due to the pandemic, our nursing home residents, which many in our town consider family, have been alone and wanting to communicate with more people. This is an extremely recent and bad problem that needs to be addressed by a lot of people. However, there are many possible solutions to this problem. This would include: writing notes, playing games, and speaking with the residents. The latter is what I did to help combat this viral loneliness.

I explain that loneliness in nursing homes is bad and has been caused by both the pandemic and family members not wanting to visit their family in the nursing homes (Which may or may not have been happening due to the pandemic). I explain possible solutions to this problem.

My Plan: Link

I created a plan for what I wanted to do to combat this loneliness. I settled on writing small notes and speaking with the residents. The plan would include: writing papers, delivering papers, and speaking with the residents before, during, and after work.

This is my reflection on how well my plan worked out. I discuss the things that went well, what could have been improved upon, and how I felt during the project.
